Clearly I am not the one from last year, I don&#8217t have the same kilometers, I don&#8217t have the same confidence. I don&#8217t have what I had last year, so I am very, very happy with what I did today. For me to still do a performance like that on a home day, the way I was just even last week is a lot of stuff”.

“Now I need to calm down for a moment: all these jumps and things have been pretty powerful, especially all the landings, so I will have to give some relief to my shin and stuff. But again, I am satisfied, I know that if I had gotten here last year it would have been different, but still just being in the race today for me was really special and so I am happy” concluded Tiger.

A unique edition in Sochi in 2014: the gold ex aequo went to Tina Maze and Dominique Gisin, with the exact same time. Bronze went to Lara Gut, then at the beginning of a long career at the top and not yet married to Valon Behrami.

In Vancouver 2010, Lindsey Vonn dominated, winning gold and confirming herself as the queen of speed. Silver took Julia Mancuso, bronze Elisabeth Goergl.

On the home snows for Italy, the gold from the 2006 Turin edition went to Michaela Dorfmeister.
