Atalanta, when De Ketelaere returns after knee surgery

Stop for Charles De Ketelaere after the injury that happened to him during the warm-up of the league match against Cremonese. The former Milan Belgian striker suffered an injury to the posterior horn of the inner meniscus of his right knee, and will have to stay off the field for a few weeks.
L’Atalanta reported that the player underwent surgery on Thursday:“Atalanta BC announces that Charles De Ketelaere underwent arthroscopy of his right knee for selective internal meniscectomy. The surgery, performed by Professor Ezio Adriani at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS in Rome, was perfectly successful. The footballer will immediately begin the rehabilitation program”.
De Ketelaere is expected to be back at coach Raffaele Palladino’s disposal in mid-March, and will have to miss several league games, as well as the Champions League playoffs against Borussia Dortmund, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17, and Wednesday, Feb. 25.
