Increasing rumors of an immediate farewell for Nick Woltemade at the end of this season. The’former Stuttgart striker, who arrived in Newcastle last summer for a fee of 75 million euros, had made an excellent start to the season in England, but has found less and less space in recent months.

According to several pundits, the German national fails to adapt to Eddie Howe’s style of play, and he is often avulsed from the game. Woltemade has played just twice as a starter in the last eight Premier League games, and in 2026 he has yet to find a league goal.

Woltemade also failed to score in the 6-1 win over Qarabag in the Champions League.

During the match, his teammate Anthony Gordon instead scored four goals, refusing to let his struggling teammate take the penalty kick.

Rumors about his transfer in the summer are growing louder and louder. According to English media, soon the player and the club will meet to decide on the best solution: the Premier League club would actually be open to a transfer if a suitable offer comes in. Newcastle after paying him 75 million euros will not accept proposals below a certain amount.

Woltemade in the last summer had been followed assiduously by Bayern Munich, which could come forward again in the coming months: the German club in fact is always looking for a backup to Harry Kane.
