Marquez-Bagnaia, a wall appears in the Ducati box: Tardozzi clarifies

The start of the MotoGp World Championship is approaching and the’impression is that the gap between Marc Marquez and the other riders has narrowed, even from Ducati teammate Pecco Bagnaia. Davide Tardozzi talking about the tests to the microphones of Sky analyzed the situation: “The time attacks have satisfied me, especially that of Pecco for a reason for the moment we do not want to say and for which we believe he could go even stronger”.

“Marc unfortunately is not super fit physically, due to a small intestinal problem. In my opinion for the first GP there will be a very good race between 4-5 riders, so I think the prediction will be really difficult and the competition is very tough, especially with Bezzecchi and the’Aprilia“, explained the Ducati team manager.

A panel appeared in the box of the official team of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer that divided the areas of the two riders, but Tardozzi immediately shut down the possible controversy: “A wall? Please. Simply there are situations during practice where there is a part of the box that works with the bike disassembled, while the other part is open because the rider is turning and so you put a panel, not to let everyone on the pitlane see the bike disassembled”.

“There is no wall and indeed, earlier I was pleased to see Marc and Pecco at the table talking and comparing notes on the tests done”, assured Tardozzi.

Bagnaia in the Sepang tests in early February had said he was satisfied, especially with the problem that had plagued him in 2025: ” Fortunately, my feeling is very positive, especially on the front of the bike on braking and entry, which was what we were looking for last year. So for the moment it is good. Then we focused on new parts like the fairing: it has pros and cons but I did the exact same time with both, old and new, so as a start and few kilometers it”.
