Amounting to as much as 20,000 euros is the fine against AC Milan, as specified in the Lega Serie A communiqué regarding the desicions of the sports judge, Gerardo Mastrandrea, concerning the seventh day of return of the Italian top league. In fact, the Rossoneri were once again punished for delaying, without justification, the start of the match, thus incurring the continued repeat offense and the heaviest fine of the championship round.

As explained by the sporting judge, Milan was punished “as an objective liability, for unjustifiably causing the delay of about four minutes of the start of the match and about three minutes the start of the second half; recidivism repeated continued”. The match in question was the one played on Sunday late afternoon against Parma, won by the Gialloblù with Mariano Troilo&#8217s controversial goal ten minutes from the 90th minute.

Accordingly, Milan is not the’only club fined for undue delay. Como also suffered a similar punishment “for unjustifiably causing the delay of about three minutes of the’start of the second half” against Juventus, but since it is a simpler recidivism the penalty is 8 thousand euros. Curiously, Juventus was also fined for the same reason, having in turn, without justification, delayed the start of the resumption by two minutes: the fine for the Bianconeri, the first sanction of its kind, is 3 thousand euros.

Other fines, however, came to Lecce, Atalanta and Bologna for fan intemperance: the Salento club will have to pay 8 thousand euros for throwing firecrackers and smoke bombs, the Orobico club will have to pay 5 thousand euros for “boorish chants” towards Napoli fans, and the Rossoblù club will have to give 5 thousand euros for throwing smoke bombs on the field.

A player and a manager are also among those fined: Dodô, a Fiorentina side, will have to pay 2 thousand euros for attempting to deceive the’referee with a simulation in the area (in addition to skipping a day for reaching the fifth penalty), while Davide Iorio, secretary of Napoli, will have to pay 5 thousand euros “for having, at the end of the match, in the tunnel leading to the locker room, loudly addressed disrespectful criticism of the referee’s actions”.
