It went to Dustin Johnson’s team, which propelled its “4 Ages GC” to a million-dollar success in Miami, the LIV Golf Team Championship, the last event of the 2022 Arab Super League. The winning team, with a total of 281 (-7) strokes, took home $16 million against a total prize pool of $50,000,000, the highest ever for a group competition.
After making it their own four of the first seven events, Johnson and his teammates (Patrick Reed, Talor Gooch and Pat Perez), won and convinced at Trump National Doral, a course owned by the former U.S. president who, by the way, participated in the opening Pro-Am of the event. With this umpteenth triumph, the foursome brought their earnings in team events alone to $28,250,000.
