Aprilia enjoys: “A Valentino Rossi-style race.”
Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola extols Aleix Espargaró’s comeback: “Valentino Rossi-like performance.”
Aleix Espargaró’s overpowering comeback to fourth place in the final laps of the Dutch Grand Prix exalted Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola: “We’ll never know what Aleix’s pace would have been in comparison to Bagnaia’s or what the pace would have been, but today Espargaró rode a Valentino Rossi-like race, a performance I haven’t seen in a long time.”
The Spanish rider, who was the protagonist of a sumptuous race after ending up in the gravel due to Quartararo’s accident, commented on his performance as follows, “The double overtake at the last chicane? I didn’t even look. I just looked at my chart and tried to stay constant on 32″5. I didn’t think I would make it to the end, but I gave everything. Fourth place wasn’t enough for the podium, today maybe I could have won. I had an impressive bike, but races are like that.ole I had to go on vacation with less than a race gap, today I lost a win, but the gap is less than a race.”
