Dinamo Sassari, bad tegola for Piero Bucchi
Kaspar Treier faces a three-month layoff
Bad news, for Dinamo Sassari and for Piero Bucchi, from the friendly matches involving club players with their national teams. Kaspar Treier, the Estonian wing under the Sardinian team, in fact injured his right elbow at the end of the first half of the match against Latvia.
The player, who fell badly after a dunk, immediately received treatment from the medical staff. Taivo Väärsi, the Estonian national team’s doctor, clarified the severity of the injury: “Tests have shown that there is a fracture in the elbow and surgery is necessary.” Recovery time is expected to be around three months.
Now the Dynamo must decide whether or not to sign Tommaso Raspino, who has already been added to the roster on a token training contract just to replace Treier, who is aggregated with the national team.
