Rumors of his return to Roma to replace the injured Gini Wijnaldum have been growing louder by the day, but in an interview with Roman radio station ‘New Sound Level’ on Thursday, Radja Nainggolan clarified everything, dotting the i’s.

“If I could, I would have returned ten times to Roma,” the Belgian said. “Now there is this ‘pour parler’ because a player who just arrived got injured, maybe some fans thought I could be the right replacement. The rumor went around very quickly but it never had much of a response in reality.”

“The fans would love for me to come back, I know. I would like that too. But if you read this news and think there is a negotiation you are wrong: in the end it is just bar talk.”
