Danilo Gallinari drama, ACL finally ruptured
Danilo Gallinari, the bulletin
It is more serious than expected the injury that has already cost Danilo Gallinari participation in the European Championships.
Initially there had been talk of a meniscus injury, recoverable in a couple of months, but the Boston Celtics have issued a new medical bulletin, with a decidedly heavier diagnosis: rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
This is the same injury suffered in 2013 while playing for the Denver Nuggets. Seeing him back on the court could take as long as a year, with his first season in a green-and-white jersey likely to be over before it even begins, although on recovery time the franchise’s doctors have not been open about it.
Meanwhile, the green-and-whites would be considering the signing of Carmelo Anthony, a free agent after his adventure with the Los Angeles Lakers ended.
