After the clear defeat in the debut against the French As Monaco, Virtus Bologna wants to make up for it against Bayern Munich, equally defeated in the debut by the Turkish team Fenerbahce. The match, valid for the second day of the Euroleague, is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8:30 p.m. at the “Virtus Segafredo Arena.”

Sergio Scariolo had this to say on the eve of the challenge: “We tried to learn quickly from the defeat in the first day, especially the 7 players who had never made their debut in this competition. The Euroleague is demanding from the point of view of energy, concentration and physical impact, we clearly have to grow in this respect. We know it will not be an immediate process but at the same time we want to see steps forward and we want to compete tomorrow against a team that is always well coached, well built and has almost always made the playoffs in recent years and, especially this season, with a very high potential in three-point shooting.

“A tough obstacle to which we will have to respond by showing on the court that we have taken a step forward, hoping that it will be enough to be able to beat an opponent that is more or less in the same group of teams as us, who want to fight until the end to succeed in the playoffs,” the coach of the bianconeri commented.
