MotoGp, Jorge Martin surprised by the difficulties of the track in Australia
Jorge Martin in the top ten after free practice
Jorge Martin, active rider with the Pramac Racing team, was amazed by the difficulty of the track after the first day of free practice. In fact, the Spanish centaur struggled, especially at the beginning, finishing 13th in the first session. In FP2 Martin improved and set the 10th fastest time, thus hitting the top 10, which is of paramount importance given the uncertain weather conditions.
Once off the bike, the Ducati rider commented on his feelings on the track, “It’s a very fast track and I didn’t expect it to be so difficult with the MotoGP, it’s very important the position of the body and the bike. We are all very close, it will be important to take a step tomorrow.”
After six titles won by Valentino Rossi in eight years it was the Spanish riders who took the lion’s share of the MotoGp world championship. From 2012 to 2020 only they have won, with Jorge Lorenzo a two-time world champion, Marc Marquez (6) and Joan Mir, triumphant in 2020 with his Suzuki.
