Torino, Ivan Juric announces two heavy forfeits ahead of Juventus match
Juric will have to do without Sanabria and Pellegri
Ivan Juric, coach of Torino, attended the usual press conference on the eve of the match and introduced the derby against Juventus, scheduled for Saturday, October 15 at the Stadio Grande Torino.
The Croatian coach began by expressing his feelings about the opponents, “They will have a strong character: the environment often manages to compact and the players give extra. I don’t know if the Haifa defeat is good or not for us, they certainly have great players who have not returned.”
“It’s an unbalanced derby, but last year we had a second derby where we came much closer to winning than they did. The players don’t think much about it, everything has changed a bit and they are focused on the present,” continued the former coach of Hellas Verona and Genoa among others.
Then Juric addressed the situation related to the unavailable players, “They are both injured. Pellegri has an old scar that bothers him, let’s see today if we can recover him. Sanabria has a slight fatigue, he has not trained in the last two days and I see it hard for him to be there tomorrow. I feel sorry for Pellegri, my feeling is that when he played he has the movements of a real striker. Sanabria makes us play well.”
The granata coach then spent a few words for on Torino’s new captain, Ricardo Rodriguez: “He is particular, a professional in a different way from what we are used to: he has a preparation for his body for matches, his head is always and only on the game. He won me over from the first training camp.”
