Jannik Sinner is back in training

After the injury that knocked him out at the ATP 250 tournament in Sofia, Jannik Sinner returned to training and did so in a very impressive setting.

In fact, the South Tyrolean tennis player went to Plan de Corones, in the province of Bolzano, to find his best form in view of the last appointments of the season, always keeping alive the hope of being able to reach the ATP Finals in Turin.

Sinner, through his Instagram profile, wanted to emphasize how special it is to be able to train in the beautiful scenery of the Alps: “Find me a better view to hit some balls….”

In Sofia, the 2001 class exited the stage in the semifinals against Denmark’s Holger Rune, who was leading the match, which ended prematurely due to an ankle injury suffered by the South Tyrolean.

Despite having achieved excellent results in skiing since childhood, at the age of 13 Jannik decided to devote himself exclusively to tennis, moving to Bordighera, at the court of Riccardo Piatti. It was a choice that would prove successful, as Sinner is the youngest Italian tennis player ever to enter the top 100 (October 2019) and to win an Atp title in the Open era (Sofia 2020). In addition, along with Matteo Berrettini, Jannik is the only Italian tennis player to have reached at least the round of 16 in all four Slams. For him, 2022 was the breakthrough year: he left Piatti to rely on Vagnozzi.
