At Area 52, Olimpia Milano coach Ettore Messina was the protagonist of a not short speech, during which he touched on numerous issues. The red-and-white helmsman also explained why he chose to include first Gianmarco Pozzecco and then Peppe Poeta on his staff: “I have not played and therefore do not have the ability to feel what an athlete feels in the locker room or during the game, but they two do and they also have the ability to relate what the player feels to what the coach feels. It’s a way of operating that I’ve seen in America that has impressed me a lot.”
On the Euroleague Messina was clear: “The team to beat remains Efes: 99 percent will be in the Final Four, the others will have to win it.”
