Inter Milan, new tegola: another striker stops after Romelu Lukaku
Inter alert: Dzeko also gets hurt
After the relapse for Romelu Lukaku comes another bad news for Inter. Edin Dzeko suffered a knock in Sunday’s training session that forced him to miss the morning session, as pointed out by Sky Sports. His condition will be carefully evaluated in the coming hours; in the meantime, he did separate work in the gym.
The Nerazzurri bomber will nevertheless leave for Munich but is unlikely to be risked by Inzaghi in the last match of the Champions League group stage — scheduled for Tuesday night against Bayern Munich, with the Nerazzurri already qualified for the round of 16 –, preserving him for Sunday night’s big match against Juventus. The Nerazzurri coach will face a formidable opponent with forced choices in attack, having to risk at this point Lautaro Martinez, whom Inzaghi would have gladly done without because he is a cautioned player.
Dzeko adds to the injured list, which, though short, features indispensable players such as Lukaku and the now lugodegent Brozovic.
