Lorenzo Musetti exults: “Everything has changed.”
Lorenzo Musetti speaks after his debut victory against Cilic.
Lorenzo Musetti expressed his satisfaction with his victory in the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 against Marin Cilic in the first round of the French tournament. The Italian confirmed the progress of the last few months, “I was good to enter the court proactive and aggressive. This is something I am very satisfied with. Then on serve I only conceded two break points, so there are many positive things. It’s a court on which I definitely still struggle because it doesn’t fully reflect my tennis, but with this serve I have to say that I manage the exchanges better,” are the words reported by Ubitennis.
Musetti lists all the changes for the better: “I remember that last year I was not responding well even to the second serve of rivals, I was not very incisive. Today I was good at putting a lot of pressure on them. This is something I’m doing very well in the last period and it’s the result of a lot of work and a lot of training. I think it’s a mix of technical improvements and more awareness and confidence in what I’m doing.”
