The negotiation to buy Sampdoria was confirmed by the person directly involved

Sheikh Khaled Faleh Al Thani is interested in buying Sampdoria and has confirmed through a signed letter that the negotiations are concrete. The news was reported on Tuesday evening by Ansa, according to which only a few steps would be missing for the handover of the ownership of the blucerchiato club.

“We continue to work with the interested parties to finalize the acquisition of the club as soon as possible,” reads the missive, in which the sheikh reiterates how all parties are at work, also thanking for the cooperation the ‘trustee’ Gianluca Vidal who is following the negotiations.

The news stands in contrast to the words of Massimo Ferrero, former president of Doria, who in an interview with ‘Il Secolo XIX’ published a few hours earlier had spoken of his possible return to the club a year after his resignation following judicial investigations that directly involved him.
