Next Gen Cup: the balance of the Pesaro event
The event reserved for the Under-19 Division A basketball teams is now in its fourth year.
The first concentration of the group stage of the IBSA Next Gen Cup held in Pesaro recorded impressive numbers regarding the coverage of the event, now in its fourth edition and reserved for the Under 19 Series A teams.
In total, over the three days of the Next Gen Cup, the 180 pieces of content posted on LBA’s social channels reached 1 million 610 thousand users. Great success, specifically, for the TikTok channel, which exceeded 1,800,000 video views, generating a growth of more than 3,000 followers. In addition, for the first time, LBA’s TikTok content crossed 1 million views, reaching 1.4 million views.
LBA’s coverage also resulted in reaching more than 163,000 accounts, which generated 58,000 interactions and nearly 1.5 million impressions. Among the content posted on Facebook, on the other hand, the 3 competitions broadcast live had over 4,700 total viewers. 101,000 users were reached on this platform, which led to 23,300 interactions.
All IBSA Next Gen Cup competitions were broadcast live on the Eleven Sports platform and on the Lega Basket website, registering on the latter portal 12,503 total viewers. In collaboration with Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro, three competitions were then broadcast on FIP’s Twitch channel; the recorded data brought these matches to the top of the platform’s weekly ranking in terms of number of views (over 1,300 on average).
The event was also followed by some digital communities such as Overtime, Italhoop and International Young Ballers, and by influencers such as “Los Amigos,” Linton Johnson, Federico Fontana and “Alex The Real,” who produced multimedia content and interacted with the athletes throughout the event. The influencers achieved a total of 990,726 impressions, while 516,293 were the impressions achieved through communities. Finally, Italhoop: the LBA media partner recorded 36,773 total viewers between YouTube and Twitch.
