Dani Pedrosa: “Valentino Rossi? It would be harder now.”
KTM tester Pedrosa explained how MotoGp has changed in recent years, “More difficult to fix on Sunday.”
Dani Pedrosa in an interview with Motorbikemag.es explained how MotoGp has changed in recent years since he retired in 2018: “The races have changed a lot, especially the way you approach the weekend and how you get the result on Sunday.”
According to Pedrosa, Saturday qualifying now plays a much more important role than in the past: “Both Valentino Rossi and myself sometimes in the past we didn’t do great qualifying, but we made up for it later on Sunday. Now, however, everything is more complicated. Some people still manage to make up for it on Sunday, but if you make a mistake on Saturday the handicap is much more important.”
Pedrosa could race with a wild card in the next World Championship: “As far as I’m concerned, continuing to be a tester with KTM has allowed me to keep up to date, to understand MotoGP as it is at the moment, what factors influence these results and how to try to improve them.”
On the upcoming MotoGp World Championship: “We have had three champions with three different bikes in the last three years. An important variety, which makes what will happen next year unpredictable.”
