Giacomo Agostini in the pages of Gazzetta dello Sport called on Bagnaia to choose number 1 for 2023: “I would put him, because today he is number one. For marketing reasons they all started to have their own, but will such an opportunity be repeated?”

“For Bagnaia I am happy, he is someone I like. He is a bit between me and Valentino. Rossi was very showman, lively, Pecco is the opposite, quiet, serious. I was somewhere in between. We are a good trio, with our differences but the same passion.”

Francesco, aka ‘Pecco,’ Bagnaia after winning the Moto2 world championship in 2018 with Sky Racing Team VR46, will make his MotoGp debut in 2019 riding the Ducati of Team Pramac Racing. In September 2020, he scores his first podium in the top MotoGP category in Misano.
