MotoGp, Jorge ‘Aspar’ Martinez’s dig at Ducati
Aspar is adamant
For Jorge ‘Aspar’ Martinez, MotoGp suffers from the numerical imbalance between the bikes fielded by Ducati and those of other brands. The four-time world champion (three titles in the 80 class and one in 125 between 1986 and 1988), owner of the team that celebrated Izan Guevara’s Moto3 title in 2022, did not hide on the issue during the ‘Cuatro Tiempos’ broadcast, aired on the Spanish version of ‘Dazn’.
Chatting with Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa and Alex Crivillé, Aspar was adamant: “With eight bikes on the track they have much more information than teams with other bikes. I think the regulations need to be changed to make sure that’s not the case.”
“The working method suffers from this imbalance,” Aspar continued. They are never in front on Fridays, they show up on Saturdays, and on Sundays they always get great results. I think having eight bikes is one of their big advantages.”
