Turin unleashed: two shots in the barrel
Torino is looking for a replacement for Lazaro and more
A number of Serie A clubs are monitoring the market in search of bargains that could suit their respective coaches: one of the most active is certainly Torino, intent on finding a replacement for Valentino Lazaro, who will be missing for quite some time, but also a striker who can relieve Sanabria while waiting for Pellegri’s return.
The latest name for the right lane is that of Atalanta-owned outside forward Nadir Zortea, seen last season at Salernitana. The class of 1999, who grew up in the Nerazzurri youth sector, is finding little space with Gasperini: he is closed by Maehle and now also by the returning Zappacosta, so he might decide to look for more continuity elsewhere and the Granata would be a perfect option.
On the other hand, as far as the offensive department is concerned, which will be without Pietro Pellegri for some time yet following the injury sustained to the hamstring of his right thigh, the profile most liked by the Turin management, as well as by coach Ivan Juric, is that of Eldor Shomurodov. In fact, the former Genoa striker, currently owned by Roma, is behind Abraham, Dybala, Zaniolo and Belotti in Mourinho’s rotations and, like Zortea, is looking for more minutes. The Uzbek player has even reportedly already found an agreement with the Granata club, which will now have to find it with the Capitoline club.
