Zaccagni and Felipe Anderson: Lazio knocks out Sassuolo
The biancocelesti defeat Reggio Emilia and deepen the Neroverdi’s crisis
A lackluster but effective Lazio beat Sassuolo 2-0 at the Mapei Stadium, securing their first win of 2023. After three games without a win, Sarri rejoiced thanks to Zaccagni’s penalty kick goal, which came in the dying minutes of the first half, and Felipe Anderson’s late-game goal as time expired.
Lazio suffered Sassuolo, especially in the first 45 minutes, while in the second half they risked less, closing it out in the 94th minute with a personal initiative by the Brazilian.
Thanks to this success, the biancocelesti hoist themselves up to fifth place on 34 points, while Sassuolo ran into its fourth consecutive defeat and deepened its crisis.
