A well-deserved gold medal for Federica Brignone who is the new world champion in combined. The skier ran a spectacular race and with grit and determination managed to write history.

Mikaela Shiffrin had started very well and seemed to be able to undermine Brignone but with two gates to go she resoundingly made a mistake and blew it.
