Bertolucci on Sinner: “He will go far.”

Paolo Bertolucci in an interview with OAsport promotes Jannik Sinner after his Montpellier victory and the Rotterdam final lost to Medvedev: “I liked many things: the performance of his tennis from the point of view of continuity, the management of difficult moments, the quality of his strokes and the objective improvements on serve. On the negative aspects, I struggle to find any because in the end he won a tournament and lost in the Final shortly after to another very strong tennis player who had not played like that for two years.”

Batting is a fundamental yet to be perfected: “It’s something that needs to improve as percentages, but already there has been growth and things don’t come suddenly.”

“The boy has prepared well in the winter phase and it shows, now he just has to keep playing, following up because I am convinced he will go far,” Bertolucci continued. “Then, I mean … in the first set he showed mica only pressure from the back, he also went down to the net and expressed a very high level of tennis.
