Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton doesn’t uncover the cards

The British driver spoke after the first day of F1 testing

Lewis Hamilton stalls after the first day of Formula 1 testing in Bahrain. The British driver finished with the sixth fastest time overall-a benchmark that has little value after a few laps, and the feeling remains that Mercedes has not yet shown its cards.

“It’s good to be back in the car here in Bahrain, it was a pleasant and cool afternoon weather-wise, although windy. We completed our program and collected a lot of data. We also had good reliability, which contributed to our good mileage total; this is due to the incredible work done at Brackley and Brixworth,” Hamilton said after the first day of practice.

“We have to keep pushing, focus on ourselves and stay focused. It’s hard to know where we stand in the order, but we will have a better feeling in the next few days.”
