Filippo Ganna immediately books the pink jersey. “The opening time trial once again gives me the opportunity to start the Giro at my best,” notes the talented Ineos Grenadiers rider.

“Of course I love racing in Italy in front of my fans and I know the impact that incredible support has for me and the team-I hope to use that energy to give my best. I am very proud of what I have shown at the Giro in the past and I can’t wait for the race to start: our team is strong,” adds the Piedmontese rider.

Thymen Arensman, Laurens de Plus, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Salvatore Puccio, Pavel Sivakov, Ben Swift, and Geraint Thomas are the other seven riders that Ineos Grenadiers will field on the roads of the Peninsula in the 108th edition of the Giro d’Italia.
