Gigi Dall’Igna spoke about Alvaro Bautista after today’s test at Misano Adriatico on a GP23: “He is a great rider. He was fast this morning and we are happy, but lap times were not our goal. The test was important and I am happy to see him here having fun with the bike. This is one of the best days of the year; it is the reward for what he did last season. He had been using an old bike and wanted to understand what had changed over the years and what feeling he had on the bike, that’s all there is to it.”

“A wild card? It’s too early to know. The season will be very long and we will arrive exhausted at the end of the year. We will see, but at the moment it is not our goal. He can do well with the bike, but I don’t want to think about it too much. I want to see him smile when he gets off the bike, that’s all,” he concluded.
