Marc Marquez no-nonsense on market rumors
Marc Marquez’s words on the eve of the Assen weekend
On the eve of the Assen weekend, Honda rider Marc Marquez spoke to the microphones of the official MotoGP website about the numerous market rumors that would now take for granted his early farewell to the Japanese team.
“It was very important for me to be there because Rins and Mir are also injured and to improve in the future Honda needs bikes on the track. The fact that I never back down and am here racing despite my physical condition shows my attachment to the team and the project. I am here to continue our work ahead of next season,” said the Spanish centaur.
Next, Marc Marquez wanted to shed light on his condition after the crash in the warm-up at Sachsenring that forced him to miss the German GP: “I have ankle pain and a cracked rib and I think the latter will be the problem that will cause me the most difficulty, but let’s see how the weekend will go. In the first hours after the crash I was fine and wanted to race, however, as time went on the pain grew and I was worse and worse. So I decided it was better not to risk it.”
