Valentino Rossi plans super comeback at Spa 24 Hours: “It will be a jungle”

Valentino Rossi and his BMW WRT teammates will start from 21st position in the Spa 24 Hours, kicking off Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at the historic Belgian track.

Qualifying did not go as planned because of the rain, but the Doctor made no dramas: “Last month I had tested and went fast, but when you arrive then everything always changes, the feeling on the car was different, the conditions were worse and the weather forecast was not good. The disqualification was crazy, it was the first time I was riding in those conditions and it was really difficult,” are the words reported by Gpone.com.

“The goal was to be in the top 20 but we didn’t make it by a few thousandths, but it’s going to be a long race, with a lot of Safety Cars, and even if you start behind it will be wide open, it will depend a lot on our pace.”

Valentino is looking forward to the start: “I have to stay calm and not make mistakes, with 70 cars it’s a jungle, sometimes difficult to manage. In the wet I feel good, but yesterday we were really driving blind, if it rains hard at night it will be complicated for everyone.”

“Spa for cars is like Assen for motorcycles, the best circuit. It’s a special event and it’s great to be here.”
