World Paralympic Track and Field Championships, blue girls amaze again
New feats by the Italian women athletes at the Paralympic athletics world championships in Paris after the triumphs of Tokyo 2020.
Two days ago in the 100 meters category T63 Ambra Sabatini, Martina Caironi and Monica Contrafatto repeated in the exact same positions the Paralympic hat trick of two years ago in Japan, with Sabatini gold and world record in 13″98, Caironi silver in 14″35 and Contrafatto bronze in 14″67.
Today Caironi triumphed in the long jump with a measurement of 5.18, her third rainbow triumph in the specialty after those of 2013 and 2017. It is the seventh title for Italy at this event and the eighth Italian qualification for the Paralympics to be held in 2024, also in Paris.
