Stefano Pioli takes stock of Milan’s tour
Stefano Pioli is satisfied at the end of Milan’s tour, after the matches with Juventus, Real and the last one with Barcelona, all of which were lost, the one with the Bianconeri on penalties: the Rossoneri coach goes beyond the results and speaks of a positive balance of the pre-season phase.
“We have worked well, always playing against opponents of great quality. The balance is positive. I am satisfied with the new ones and their insertion process, it will still take time.”
Some criticism for the defeat suffered with the Blaugrana: “We created danger, but without taking advantage of the chances we built. We also conceded something at the back.”
As for the strikers Pioli stresses that “from the three in front I expect them to score goals or have them scored.” And on Leao: “We want him to be in possession as much as possible, but he should not be the only option.”
Stefano Pioli, who arrived in October 2019 in place of Marco Giampaolo, is about to start his fifth Serie A season on the Milan bench, and so far his only success, but a very heavy one, has been the Scudetto in the 2021-2022 season.
