Carlos Alcaraz writes a message to Jannik Sinner after the triumph
Jannik Sinner won the first Masters 1000 of his career in Toronto at the age of 22, confirming the opinion of many insiders about his bright future.
His rival and friend Carlos Alcaraz wanted to pay tribute to the San Candido tennis player with a message posted on social: “You deserve it Jannik! I’m so happy for you,” wrote the Murcia tennis player, who was defeated in the tournament quarterfinals by Tommy Paul, then beaten in the semifinals by Azzurro.
Alcaraz in the past has always expressed all his esteem for Sinner, who has beaten him several times: “Right now I think I have a rival who follows these characteristics and I’m talking about Jannik Sinner. I am not afraid to say it, he and I have already had great battles on all surfaces and in various tournaments, and I believe that we will fight together for major titles in the future as well.”
