MotoGp, Johan Zarco stymied with Ducati
We are over halfway through the 2023 Motogp World Championship and still Johann Zarco does not know who he will race for in 2024. It all revolves around the decisions of Marco Bezzecchi, who has to choose whether to stay in the Mooney VR46 team with a 2023 bike or to accept a “promotion” to Pramac and thus leave Valentino Rossi’s team.
Many riders depend on his choice, among them Johann Zarco, who is impatiently waiting for news from Ducati about his future. The French centaur, fifth in the overall standings, demands respect from Canal +: “Honda seems to want me more than Ducati, but I’m not worried. In any case, I will have a choice and that is a good thing.”
Zarco is holding an offer from the LCR team, but he is looking forward to the situation being definitively clarified: “We knew there would be little change between Silverstone and Austria, so we will wait for this weekend.”
The transalpine rider has the support of part of the Pramac team, which would like his confirmation. In 48 races, Zarco has won 12 podiums and three pole positions with Ducati’s satellite team.
