Claudio Ranieri, interviewed by 'TG5', spoke among other things about his future prospects, not disdaining a return to international soccer: "What will he doò after Cagliari? It will beà time to rest a bit&39; – he said -. Then if there will beà a national team that will intrigue meà well come, otherwise after Cagliari I will travel, I certainly wonò not stand".

The Roman coach è then returned to his own statements about Roberto Mancini’s move to lead the Saudi national team and, more generally, about all those footballers who choose the rich contracts in the Middle East leaving Europe: "When they proposed me to go to China, Arabia or Qatar I said no, I need stimulation and adrenaline of the match day. By going to those places I would make a lot more money, I am not saying that è that is bad, but I would lose what I have inside".

A thought also to Carlo Mazzone, one of his teachers, who passed away last Aug. 19: "I was moved by the affection of the fans, the coach was a man who seemed gruff was a person with a heart of gold and it was right".

Ranieri, born in 1951, è returned to Serie A with Cagliari, which he himself led to promotion last season by taking over from Fabio Liverani in the ongoing championship and guiding the Rossobl'till the victorious final against Bari. As coach of the islanders he had achieved two other promotions, from C1 to B in 1988/89 and from B to A the following year.
