F1, Lando Norris is not surprised: “We expected it”
Lando Norris’ words after FP2 of the Las Vegas GP
After setting the 11th fastest time in FP2 of the Las Vegas GP, McLaren driver Lando Norris bluntly analyzed his performance. In addition, the Briton è expressed himself regarding his feelings about the continuation of the weekend.
"It's been a difficult night on a tricky circuit. The grip was poor and it's easy to wear out the tires quickly. I think we are a long way off compared to the last few weekends, but we probably expected it. It's a similar situation to Monza and other low downforce circuits. At the moment è a bit è unlikely, but I am confident that we will be able to improve ahead of qualifying and the race" these are the thoughts of the British driver at the microphones of "Sky Sport F1".
Confirming McLaren’s difficulties was teammate Oscar Piastri, who did not è go beyond the 14th time. The Australian, in fact, è expressed himself without mincing words about his performance: "It's interesting to get out on the track for the first few laps in Las Vegas. The track was very slippery and è a pretty rough circuit. The tires were pretty difficult, with a lot of graining, which è a problem we will have to try to solve ahead of qualifying and the race. We will have to see what we can do, and hopefully it will be a better day for everyone and we will have the crowd back tomorrow. It's a pity that they couldn't see any action today".
