Inter, Beppe Marotta speaks out on Nahitan Nandez
Beppe Marotta denies contact with Nahitan Nandez
On the sidelines of the Champions League evening and the Lisbon match between Benfica and Inter Milan, Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta spoke to the microphones of 'Sky Sport', dwelling in particular on market rumors regarding Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez.
"As far as I am concerned,” Marotta said, “I can say that the squad available to Simone Inzaghi è of quality and very well amalgamated. That is why I don't see any big market needs, I don't see any advantageous situations ahead of January. Did Nandez's agent talk about contacts with Inter? I find these statements out of place, because we have never sought him.
For the Inter executive, it is more important to think long term: "Sustainability,” he explained, “is nothing more than finding a logic of balance between costs and revenues. We are ready for any eventuality, è clear that it is our intention to keep all the most important players in the squad, but we will make our evaluations".
Inter è arrived in Portugal with the certainty of qualification already obtained on the previous day, winning in Salzburg. At stake, however, is first place in the group, which would guarantee the Nerazzurri avoid the first of the other groups in the round of 16.
