Olivier Giroud doesn’t give up for the shield

Olivier Giroud, elected athlete of the year in his native Savoy by 'Le Dauphiné Liberé', gave an interview to the French newspaper, in which he also talked about the fight for the Scudetto. "On a personal level, my season is going well. I am more advanced than in previous years. In 13 games I have scored 8 goals and made 5 assist".

"I have always kept an eye on my statistics, because everyone knows that a striker is judged by his numbers,” added the center forward of the Rossoneri club. I feel good, even at 37, and I am doing my part. I am happy in this team".

The French striker does not want to give up for the Scudetto, despite being nine points behind the leader (Inter, ed.): "There's a lot of competition, Inter and Juve are having a great season. We are trying to keep up with the locomotive. What can I tell you about my future? That I am not looking beyond this season".

"Steve and I have been writing to each other. È good to see him again. È the goalkeeper against whom I scored my first professional goal at Stade Lesdiguieres with Grenoble (against Le Havre, 2-1). I never thought I would have so many experiences with him… We will play the Europa League all the way. Moreover, Milan has never won the competition. È a great challenge" Giroud commented on the Europa League.
