Roma recovers Atalanta with a Dybala penalty
At the Stadio Olimpico the last match of the first leg of the Serie A championship between Roma and Atalanta ends 1-1.
The first goal ball è of the Giallorossi: Carnesecchi anticpa in exit Lukaku served by Dybala. Na at’8’ è the Dea to go ahead: cross by Miranchuk and Koopmeiners header beats Rui Patricio. On 21’ Carnesecchi fends off a Lukaku shot with his foot.
One’chance per side on 22’: first Ederson risks an own goal on Dybala’s cross but Carnesecchi è careful, soon after Rui Patricio’s miracle denying De Ketelaere’s double. On 33’ Dybala did not hit well an assist from Pellegrini.
On 34’ again the Giallorossi: another cross by Pellegrini, Carnesecchi parries Bove’s shot on the way out. One minute later again the Nerazzurri extreme defender anticipates Lukalu and then saves Zalewski’s subsequent lob, then Djimsiti saves on Karsdorp.
On 38’ penalty for Roma awarded after Var consultation for Ruggeri’s foul on Karsdorp, on the penalty spot goes Dybala who clears Carnesecchi and equalizes. The first half ended after seven minutes of recovery without the score changing.
Resume. Pellegrini’s free kick at 56’, Holm deflects risking an own goal but Carnesecchi saves again. At 61’ Scamacca, entered for De Ketelaere, serves Ederson who sends high. Dybala immediately replied but Carnesecchi è careful at the first post.
At’80’ Roma again: Spinazzola crosses low to Lukaku who from the center of the area sends it sky high. Seven more minutes of recovery time, but it ends 1-1 and Jos’Mourinho’s Giallorossi, who once again is expelled for protests, fail to overtake Atalanta.
