Simone Inzaghi’s words ahead of Monza-Inter

After graduating as winter champions, Inter will try to continue its run toward the second star. On the first day of the return leg, the Nerazzurri will face Monza away. On the eve of the match, meneghini coach Simone Inzaghi, to the club official channels, presented the match that awaits his boys.

"We know that we had a very good run in the first round, the team è ambitious and we know that it will not be easy, but we want to confirm from the first match with Monza. It will be a difficult match, against a valuable opponent, who has a great coach like Palladino and can count on some players who have been important for Inter like D'Ambrosio, Gagliardini and Carboni" began the Nerazzurri coach.

"With Verona in the last quarter of an hour we changed the game plan and had put three strikers on the field together. Right now I am using it as an option in the match in progress to try to solve those very balanced matches, but in the near future it could become a viable option to be proposed from the start" added the former Lazio coach regarding a possible change of the game system.

"The first half of the season showed us that we are a very compact team, which impacted every match in the best way and believed at all times that we can win. The guys worked very well. We have changed several set-ups and had a few injuries, but the principles have not changed beyond men and we have managed to make a very good defensive phase as evidenced by the only nine goals conceded in 19 games" commented Simone Inzaghi.
