Toro’s captain has a guaranteed contract with the granata until 2028

In recent days, there's been initial contact between Buongiorno's agent and AC Milan. The Granata central defender is liked by many clubs, not only in Italy. The Diavolo seems to have been the first to come forward, so as to figure out how to try to wrest Buongiorno from Torino (in the summer, Atalanta tried, unsuccessfully, to dress him in Nerazzurri). Ready the response of Cairo, granata president.

"We have renewed his contract until 2028 and he will remain with us, as è also in his desires. Relations with agent Beppe Riso are excellent. But also with Milan, eh…", the words of Cairo himself reported by Tuttosport. In short, Torino has no intention of depriving itself of its ace. A strong message to the Diavolo but also to all other suitors.

The person concerned, a few weeks ago at a Milan event, had been sibylline about his future, entrenching himself behind the back of a "… We’ll see" which leaves every option open. In reality, Cairo’s statements go in a very specific direction. Torino wants to hold on to Buongiorno as long as possible: "I said it last week at the end of the League Assembly and I can only repeat it: not è for sale", Cairo’s own closing remark.
