Pesaro launches challenge to Olimpia Milan

Day number 17 of the 2023/24 basketball Serie A will also see on its schedule one of the "classics" of the Italian league, the challenge between Vuelle Pesaro and Olimpia Milano. The match between the two white-and-red teams will be played on Sunday, Jan. 21, with the ball at two scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Mazzoni, Bongiorni and Borgo will be the three referees for the challenge.

At home Carpegna Prosciutto there'è great anticipation for the challenge to the meneghini, as confirmed by the words of Pesaro coach Meo Sacchetti to the club’s official channels:"This è has been a challenging week – he said -, in which we have tried to improve the physical condition and then finalize our game. We aim to reintegrate Bamforth, although we do not know what he will be able to give us since we do not want to take risks and force".

"The response of the boys è has been important – added the'former technical commissioner of the National Team -, we will serve; maximum commitment, giving everything we have. During the week we went in search of more speed across the field, trying to run more than before. Some players need to find self-confidence".

Sacchetti wants to overturn the odds, without caring too much about how Olimpia will arrive in Pesaro after their European commitments: "We have to think only about ourselves – the VL coach’s words -, having the right attitude and without worrying about the match of Milan engaged in the Euroleague in Valencia a few hours before the game scheduled here in Pesaro".
