JaJuan Johnson’s experience in Brindisi ends

JaJuan Johnson no longer è a player of Happy Casa Brindisi. On Wednesday, in fact, came the announcement by the Serie A club of the termination of the contract that bound the biancazzurri and the American veteran, an agreement that had come into being last July 9, in the aftermath of the Purdue University product's experience at Gravelines, France.

"Happy Casa Brindisi announces that it has consensually terminated, today, the contractual relationship that bound the athlete JaJuan Johnson to the biancoazzurra company – communicated the company through its official channels -. To the player goes our thanks for his commitment, wishing him the best personal and professional fortunes for the continuation of his career".

Class of 1989, Johnson è was called, after coming out of college, in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Nets (27th pick for the franchise then representing New Jersey), who immediately traded him to the Boston Celtics. Not finding space in the NBA, he began a long journey first in the G-League (Fort Wayne, Canton, Idaho) and then in Europe.

His first taste of basketball on the Old Continent è was in Italy, in Pistoia, in 2013: then, after a brief stint in China (in Guangdong) è followed by a return to Europe, where he played with the undershirts of Besiktas (Turkey), Krasny Oktyabr (Russia), back to Italy in Cantù, Darussafaka (Turkey), Lukomotiv Kuban (Russia), Bahcesehir (Turkey), Bayern Munich (Germany), Turk Telekom (Turkey), Gravelines (France) and, finally, Brindisi.
