Inter monetizes: Stefano Sensi to Leicester, was on deadline
The divestment, this time final, è one step away from materializing.
Stefano Sensi and Inter say goodbye, once and for all. The Marche midfielder, whom the Nerazzurri took over from Sassuolo in 2019, è been heavily affected by injuries and various difficulties in his Milan experience and was destined to leave on a zero-parameter basis at the end of the season. This però will not happen: by the end of the January market, in fact, Leicester will buy back his tag.
Sensi’s transfer to the Championship (the English Serie B) should materialize by next Monday. Expressly requesting it è was Enzo Maresca, now coach of Leicester. The negotiation è is destined to end with a two-and-a-half-year contract for the midfielder who exploded at Cesena and a check for 2-3 million euros to Inter, plus a possible percentage in case of future resale.
Sensi played only his first two seasons at Inter completely in a Nerazzurri jersey: in 2022 he was in fact sold for six months on loan to Sampdoria, while last season he played for Monza. Here he found Matteo Pessina, the colleague who took his place at Euro 2020 to which he had been summoned having to give up due to yet another injury.
