Elisa Longo Borghini, after granting an encore at the Tour of Flanders, expressed all her joy "Winning this race means a lot to me. I would like to thank my coach, Paolo Slongo, and my husband, Jacopo Mosca, and the whole Lidl-Trek team for how they supported me,” she said. “The girls were incredible, as always, as well as the support of the staff in the car".
"I had a small crash and a flat tire and fell, and my teammates supported me in a really effective way,” she added. “In the last three kilometers I knew we still had to push really hard and, in my mind, I knew what I had to do".
