The words of Carlos Sainz ahead of the Suzuka GP

During the press conference for the presentation of the Japanese Gp, Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, among the various topics discussed, was blunt about the chances of repeating the success achieved in Australia and the gap that there could be in terms of performance against Red Bull.

"In Australia we looked very strong, but you have to average over the three races so far and we are probably behind Red Bull by at least three tenths. The car è grown significantly compared to the past but here we will not bring significant updates" began the Spanish driver to the microphones of "Sky Sport F1".

"I think it is important to turn the page as quickly as possible, for better or worse. When you come from a victory è itè more difficult to reset everything becauseè you want to enjoy that moment, but I alreadyà from the Monday after the Melbourne weekend I started to focus exclusively on the Suzuka race. It will beà a very challenging track for us, last year we were 7-8 tenths behind Red Bull and it will beà interesting to see if and how much closer we will be this year" added Ferrari’s number 55.

"For the future I am talking with some people, è what you have to do not having a team for 2025. We just have to go into details to figure out the best option. At the moment no news’to report. But for sure we need to speed up" concluded Carlos Sainz.
