Roma challenges AC Milan and Juventus for Borussia Dortmund champion
According to the latest rumors, it seems that Roma has also set its sights on Mats Hummels, who has been approached in recent days by AC Milan and Juventus. The rocky defender è is expiring his contract with Borussia Dortmund and his future è a rebus: he has not yet decided whether to stay in the ranks of the yellow and red or try a new experience.
The defender è grew up in the youth ranks of Bayern Munich and è moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2008. With the yellow and black jersey he grew a lot and established himself as one of the most solid defenders in Europe, then in July 2016 Bayern brought him back to Munich by pouring 35 million euros into Dortmund’s coffers. Three years later Hummels again turned around and returned to the yellow and black for 30 million euros.
Given also his age (he will blow out 36 candles this year), Hummels may not be able to play every week but he certainly has a wealth of experience that many teams could use. In the background there's also the Saudi Arabia hypothesis, always ready to embrace champions coming out of Europe: in this case Hummels would surely snatch a much more lucrative contract than those he would be offered in the Old Continent but it would be a huge change of life.
