Jannik Sinner-Carlos Alcaraz 6-2 3-6

Carlos Alcaraz evened the score with Jannik Sinner in the first semifinal of Roland Garros. The Spaniard, in fact, made the second set his own 6 games to 3 after the South Tyrolean had won the first partial 6 games to 2.

Sinner got off to a strong start and broke Alcaraz on serve in the opening game. The Blue has no problem confirming the break lead and in the third game he repeats it. Jannik flies in an instant to 4-0. Here comes a timid reaction from Alcaraz, who moves the score and recovers a break disadvantage, but a new stretch by Sinner is worth the first set, closed 6-2

Also in the second set, Sinner gets the break in the opening game and confirms it, despite two double faults. In the fourth game, however, the South Tyrolean accused the first real break of the match and gave up the serve, before Alcaraz completed the comeback (3-2). The inertia of the challenge changed: the blue dropped in intensity and the Spaniard strung two more games (5-2), and called to serve for the set, closed 6-3.

At the men’s level, the’roll of honor at Roland Garros sees Rafa Nadal widely in the lead: the Spaniard has won 14 times, the last of which was in 2022, defeating Norway’s Casper Ruud in the final with a score of 6-3, 6-3, 6-0. At 6 wins the legendary Swede Bjorn Borg.
