The words of Carlos Alcaraz after his triumph over Jannik Sinner

After a marathon that lasted more than 4 hours, Carlos Alcaraz è managed to impose himself in five sets over Jannik Sinner, gaining access to the Roland Garros final. At the press conference, the Murcian, in addition to analyzing his performance, wanted to pay the honor of arms to the South Tyrolean.

"Today è was really a suffering and you have to find joy in suffering, even more so on clay and at Roland Garros: long exchanges, four-hour matches, you have to fight and suffer. I have often told my team that you have to like suffering" began the Spanish tennis player.

"The hardest matches I have played so far in my short career were just those against Sinner, the US Open match in 2022 and today’s match above all. He è a great player, he has a fantastic team and I hope to play many more matches like these against him in the future" added the world number three.

"I saw he was struggling, we both had cramps. I learned the lesson from last year, when against Djokovic I was in a similar situation as today. In these moments è it is crucial to keep calm, because è the cramp sooner or later passes, you have to keep fighting and maybe try to shorten the exchanges. The third set è was very strange, while in the fourth and fifth I managed to raise the level. I’m very satisfied with what I did today, I was able to take advantage of my opportunities" Carlos Alcaraz commented.
